Betty Jean Morgan, of Berwick passed away peacefully on December 28,2025 at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Berwick
Betty was born on April 29,1924 in Mifflin Township, the last living of 9 children born to the late Boyd and Hannah (Slusser) Schell. She was raised and educated in Sybertsville and graduated from West Hazleton High School, class of 1940. Betty devoted 31 years of service to wise Foods, where she worked Faithfully until her retirement in 1986.
Betty was a longtime member of Bethany Church of Berwick. She greatly valued time spent with her family and found joy in cooking and baking, especially for family gatherings.
She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Morgan and wife Sherry, Mifflinville; James Morgan, Berwick; and Donald Morgan and wife Sue, Williamsport; three grandchildren, Jamie Piemontese and husband Daniel, Damien Robak, Zachary Robak; and one great grandson, Ellis.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years John Morgan, who passed away in 2001; her daughter, Sandra Morgan; brothers, Lee Schell, Jay Schell, Dale Schell; and sisters, Geneva Kanouse, Catherine Murphy, Beatrice Hoffman, Dorothy Sanders, and June Birt.
Graveside service will take place at 11AM, on January 2, 2026, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut St, Berwick, where she will be laid to rest beside her Husband.
