Janice Lysogorski, age 87, of Nescopeck went home with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Berwick.
Born in Sussex, NJ on August 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Howard S. and Lilian M. (Smith) Margarum. She was raised in New Jersey and educated at Pine Island Schools. She worked in her teens at a nursing home and later at several businesses including Plastoids and Classy Leather. Most recently, she was working as a personal care aide.
She was an active member of Bloomsburg Baptist Church, attended church every Sunday and bible study every Wednesday. She loved the lord and truly cared about people. She led many to the lord. Janice was an excellent cook. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband, taking care of her grandchildren and being in their company.
Janice is survived by: son, David W. Shunoski and wife Erica A. Drake-Shunoski of Nescopeck; step-son, Michael Lysogorski and companion Debbie Potter of Nescopeck; step-daughter, Wanda Maustellar and husband Garth of Millville; step-son, William Lysogorski and wife Tammy of Drums; grandchildren, Amber, Seth, James, Danielle, Steven, Tiffany, John, Tristain, Amanda, Kaitlin, Brook, Nathan and Noah; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Noah, Evelyn, Laif, Leo; sisters, Marilyn McCarty of Milford, Geraldine Winning and husband William of Longs, SC., MaryLou Wallace of Matamoris; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew “Andy” Lysogorski with whom she was married to for 43 years; first husband, Leo W. Shunoski; sister, Shirley Wright and brothers, Richard Margarum and Gerald Margarum.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on April 10, 2026, at Bloomsburg Baptist Church, 2405 Old Berwick Rd, Bloomsburg. Interment will follow at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
