Ronald Maurice “Ron” Beach

Ronald Maurice “Ron” Beach, 91, of Nescopeck, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on March 31, 1935, in Nescopeck, he was the son of the late Frederick A. Beach and Violet A. (Kemmerer) Beach. Ron was a 1953 graduate of Berwick High School and went on to work as a dedicated butcher for Weis Markets. On July 2, 1955, he married the love of his life, Dorothy, and they shared 70 beautiful years together.

Ron was a devout Christian whose faith was the foundation of his life. He was deeply committed to his ministry and found great joy in serving others. For many years, he selflessly preached to inmates at Retreat State Correctional Institution, where they would pack a room in anticipation to hear him speak. He brought his message of faith and hope to those often forgotten.

Ron also enjoyed beekeeping, woodworking, and taking fishing trips to Canada – pastimes that reflected his patience, craftsmanship, and love of the outdoors. He took great pride in helping his son, Dennis, with his wood carving business.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his sons Dale Beach (Karen) and Dennis Beach (fiancée Sandra); grandchildren, Jenny, Hannah, Joshua, and Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Emerson, Bennett, Berlin, Amia, Jace, Jensen, and RaeLyn; and brother, Dean Beach.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Howard Beach.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Wapwallopen (Old River Rd) Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
