Raymond H. Goldsworthy

Raymond H. Goldsworthy, age, 93, of Berwick passed away, Friday, May 15, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, on April 8, 1933, he was the son of the late Raymond and Elsie (Ermisch) Goldsworthy. He was educated in the Hazelton Schools and was a 1950 graduate of Hazleton High Vocational School in 1950.

Raymond spent four years in the U.S.  Air Force. After one year in electronic schools, he was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. He was an electronic technician and flight simulator instructor for the F-86D Fighter Aircraft. While there he attended the University of Dayton.

He was employed by the A.T.&T. Co. and held various positions in operation and engineering at the Philadelphia and Wayne area offices. Prior to retiring he was at the A.T&T. Co. Headquarters in Bedminster, N.J. for eight years. During his last two years he worked with Bell Labs in Murray Hill, N.J. developing a computer model for the A.T&T. Co. construction budget. In 1989 after 23 years of service, he retired and moved to his farm in Mifflin Township, Columbia County.

While working for A.T.&T. he attended Drexel University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Electronic Engineering.

Surviving is his wife Bernadine (Mihalik) Goldsworthy; daughter, Bernadette Kukowski and her children, Amber, Elizabeth, Nicole and Garrick; great-grandchildren Anthony, Logan, Chase, Noah; sister, Linda Elliot of California; brother-in-law, Larry Mihalik of Hazelton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Gibbs and Donna Mihalik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 1730 Fowler Ave., Berwick, with Rev. Francis Tamburro officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00  to 10:45 am when a prayer service begins.
