George W. Lane, Jr., age 80, of Berwick passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at his home.
Born in Nanticoke on August 23, 1945, he was the son of the late George W. Lane Sr., and Mary (McLaughlin) Andrews. He attended Northwest Area Schools. He proudly served in the US Marines from 1963-1965. After an honorable discharge, he worked at the AC&F and later Berwick Forge and Fabricating. George loved horses and after the closing of the forge in the early 80’s, he was able to open his own business, working as a Farrier for over 25 years.
He was a big fan of Chuck Norris he loved watching Walker Texas ranger as well as other shows on TV. He also followed NASCAR, and in the past his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lora L. Krasniak and husband John, Berwick; son, Bryan K. Lane and wife Jacqueline, Bloomsburg; daughter, Tanya Moroz and husband Addison, Kulpmont; grandchildren, Clifford W. Titus III, Kristopher K. Lane, Kolby Lane, Brianna Moroz and Caleb Moroz; great grandchildren, Autumn, Riley, Kaiya, Kayden, Kendall, and Zachery; great-great granddaughter, Hadley; nephew, Bobby Yoder and his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Deborah L. (Keller) Lane on June 19, 2019; and his sister, Jolene Yoder.
In honoring George’s request there will be no services.
