Angeline R. ”Angie” Green, 67, St. Marys, PA, died Friday morning, Dec. 18, 2015, at Milford Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center, Milford, where she was a guest for the past month.
Born Aug. 22, 1948, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Roy and Martha Jane (Boone) Gordner.
She was married to Curtis Seltzer, who preceded her in death. She later married Donald Murphy, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by Robert J. Armstrong, St. Marys, her companion of 15 years.
She had attended McCackey High School, Lancaster.
During her life, she held many jobs to support herself and her children; at times she was employed in multiple places simultaneously. She was a truck driver for 11 years, making cross country halls. She worked in group homes for mentally impaired adults. She was employed at a knitting factory, a pretzel factory, and also delivered newspapers.
Angeline was a family-oriented person who spent as much time as she could with her loved ones. She enjoyed reading and watching games shows, especially with her loyal dog, “Teddy Bear Green” by her side.
She is survived by: one daughter, Eileen Binney, St. Marys; three sons: Matthew Seltzer and wife Robin, Anoka, MN; Scott Seltzer and wife Penny, Shohola; Roy Seltzer and wife JoAnn, St. Marys; 13 step-children: Michelle “Mikey”, Donna, Don Jr., Sharon, Jeff, Colleen, Kathy, David, Steven and Wayne Murphy; Brenda Carlson and husband Jerry, Emporium; Lisa Major, Emporium, James Armstrong and wife Teresa, Abilene, TX; 13 grandchildren, Kimberly Binney, Melissa and Robert Miller, Bayli, Grace, Thomas, Joseph, Sarah, Michael, Zachary, Alex, Andrew and Clarissa Seltzer; two step-grandchildren, Nathanial Bickford and Grace Armstrong; and a great-grandson: Jace Williams Bickford; two sisters, Bess Neumeraski, Philadelphia and Theresa Harmon, Nescopeck; three brothers: Raymond and wife Ruth Gordner, Reading; Lewis and wife Pearl Gordner, Berwick; Frances and wife Rose Gordner, Benton; a sister-in-law, Donna Gordner, Donaldson; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
was also preceded in death by a grandson, Evan Seltzer; and three brothers: Diogenes “Butch” Gordner, Hiram Gordner, and Jerry Gordner.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, with Pastor Corvin Seltzer, Jr. Friends will be received from 5:00 until the time of service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22nd, in Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
