Harry J. Reiber
, 72, of Berwick, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 22, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Schuylkill County on December 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Mary (Hoffa) Reiber. He was raised and educated in the Coaldale area. After moving to Berwick, he was employed as a spackler at DeLuxe Homes, and Design Homes. Prior to retirement, he worked at Robert Garringher Construction, Mifflinville.

Harry was formerly active with the West Berwick Hose Company, the Mifflinville Fire Rangers, and the fire police. In his younger years, he enjoyed wood working and crafts. He followed NASCAR and liked going to races whenever possible.

He is survived by daughters: Audrey Ahner and husband Lonnie, Kelly Reiber; grandchildren, Krystle and Lonnie Ahner, Amanda Reiber, and Keri McMullen. He will also be missed by many dear friends, including Gabriel and Chester Remaley, and their children, Niya, Damian and Kaylee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Donaldine Reiber, Lillian Deeble, Charlotte Gehring, and Corrine Boerner.

A private memorial dinner and celebration of Harry’s life will be held next month.
