Thomas J. Ceppa

Thomas J. Ceppa, of Huntington Township, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his home.

Born in Nanticoke on April 2, 1936, he was the son of late Edward Leonard and Josephine (Crossin) Ceppa. He moved with his family to the Townhill Area at age 3, and graduated from Huntington Mills High School. Thomas honorably served his country for 2 years in the US Army. He was employed for Luzerne Outerwear in the cutting room for 30 years, and most recently, worked at Chase Prison in Dallas, retiring after 12 years.

Tom will be greatly missed by his loving wife Nancy (Bonham) Ceppa, with whom he would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on January 20; daughters, Starlet Vaughn, and husband Eugene, Berwick; Karen Ceppa Hirko and her husband Thomas, Hunlock Creek; 4 grandchildren, Carla Vought, Thomas McGraw, Joshua Elmore and wife Elizabeth, and Ashlynn Elmore; brothers, Fred Ceppa and wife Judy; Edward Ceppa and wife Helen; and a sister, Lorretta Ceppa.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 11, 2015 in Oakdale United Methodist Church, 485 Oakdale Drive, Hunlock Creek.
