Stanley Staniorski, Jr., 63, of Dorrance Township, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Abington Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born on June 20, 1952 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Margaret Elsie (Lorae) and Stanley Joseph Staniorski, Sr. He was a member of the first graduating class of Columbia Montour Vo-Tech in 1970, where he studied automotive. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he was assigned to a helicopter detail. After being honorably discharged, he returned to the area and worked on his uncle’s farm, which he eventually acquired. He was the owner of Hill Top Farm Market. He was also employed at A Barletta & Sons, for 25 years.
He was a member of the American Legion 781, Mt. Top, VFW Post 821, Berwick, a member of the PA Farm Bureau, and Operating Engineers.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 33 years, Linda J. (Fenstermacher) Staniorski; sons, Stanley J. Staniorski, Dorrance Township, Clinton E. Staniorski and wife Tara, Hobbie. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild this coming April. He is also survived by a sister Rebecca White.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, including his uncle, Edward Staniorski.
A prayer service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 22, 2016 followed by an interment at 11:00 in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dorrance. Family will receive friends at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck on Thursday from6:00 to 8:00 PM.
