Paul E. Shymansky

Paul E. Shymansky, , 76, of Mifflinville passed away early Friday morning, April 22, 2016 at Berwick Retirement Village II.

Born in Northumberland on February 3, 1939, he was a son of the late Maximillian S. and Ada Mae (Runyan) Shymansky. He graduated from school in Northumberland and served in the US Army. Following an honorable discharge, he was employed at various local manufacturing plants, most recently at Berwick Offray, prior to retiring.

Paul was a member of the First Church of Christ, Bloomsburg. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered for lending a hand to anyone in need, and his true kindhearted nature.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Joan A (Eifert) Shymansky, with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage this past October; sons, Charles Shymansky, Turbotsville; David Shymansky and wife Kathy, Sunbury; Stephen Shymansky and wife Debra, CA; Douglas Shymansky and wife Cindy, Berwick; daughter, Paul Maxine Shymansky, Danville; 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Shymansky on April 19, 2014; sisters, June McCrann; Maurine Grone and husband Joe; Maxine Intronivich; Emily Shymansky; brother, Philip Shymansky; and half-brother, Theodore Shymansky.

At his request there will be no public funeral service. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting his family.
