Johanna C. (Davis) Mowery, 74, of Berwick passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Grandview Health Homes, Danville, where she had been staying for the past 13 years.
Born in Berwick on June 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Adeline D. (Zavistoski) Davis. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, and worked at Consolidated Cigar, Berwick.
Johanna was a member of Eagle Hose Company, Berwick, and the Columbia County Fire Police Association. She enjoyed search-word puzzles and watching TV, especially “I Love Lucy”.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of nearly 51 years, Gary Mowery; sons, Ernest L. Mowery; Neil L. Mowery; daughters, Sharon L. Mowery and Susan L. Mowery; as well as many close friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting her family.
