Jacqueline M. Hartzel,
 65, of Salem Township passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Berwick on November 26, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Rollie J. and Dorothy M. (Hampton) Kishbaugh. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1968. Jackie was employed at several local businesses prior to opening her own store, Pine and Primitives, which she operated for 14 years.

She enjoyed trips to Mohegan Sun and visiting auctions. She was very artistic and liked making wood-crafts, sewing, decorating, and painting. Jackie loved to read, and would easily read 3 or more books a week.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Daniel D. Hartzel, Sr, with whom she recently celebrated 48 years of marriage; sons, Daniel D. Hartzel, Jr. and wife Heather, Berwick; Matthew R. Hartzel and wife Angela, Shickshinny; grandchildren, Dylan, Steven, Hunter, Madeline, Jacob and Ella. She also leaves behind a brother, John Kishbaugh and wife Deborah; sisters, Janice D’Alberto and husband Anthony; Jean Kishbaugh and husband Donald; Joyce Proeger; brother-in-law, John Knorr, all of Berwick; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Knorr.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, with Pastor Mike Maleski officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
