Margaret E. “Marge” Whisman, 91, of Berwick passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Signature Health Care of Bloomsburg, where she was a guest since July.
Born in Slocum Township on September 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Elizabeth A. (Rinehimer) Stout. She attended Newport High School, and worked at Consolidated Cigar for many years before retiring in 1991.
Marge enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together and reading. In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Whisman, in 2000; son, Russell Tennesen in 2009; brothers, Willard and Clarence Stout; sisters, Mae Stout, Florence Eckrote, and Betty Ketz.
She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Patricia Polk and husband Richard, Berwick; grandchildren, Lisa, Erica, Nick, Robin, Kim, Kelly and Koleen; great grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Raymond, Jeremy, Heather, Ryan and Colin; a great-great granddaughter, Paiden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Marge’s wishes, services will be held privately. Interment will be in Slocum Cemetery.
