Irma Jane Johnson, 79, of Shickshinny passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Berwick Retirement Village II, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Shickshinny on July 29, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Ami and Alice R. (Brader) Harrison. She was a member of the last graduating class of Shickshinny High School. Irma was a cafeteria manager at Garrison Elementary, where she worked for over 20 years.
Irma was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church, Shickshinny, and the McKendree Grange. She liked gardening, both vegetable and flowers. She always had a great display of decorations for each holiday. She enjoyed shopping and yard sales. Anyone who knew her could tell you, her favorite color was gold, especially in her accessories.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Johnson, who passed away on March 19, 2011.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Dwight Johnson and wife Melanie, Berwick; Dwane Johnson, FL; cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Joseph, Anthony, Kyle, Tiffany, Jazlien, and Zachary; adored great grandchildren, Logan, Gavin and Hayden; sister, Nancy R. Sorber and husband Sam, Shickshinny; and many nieces and nephews including, Missy Peters, and Mason Peters.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday at Town Hill United Methodist Church, 417 Town Hill Rd, Shickshinny.
