Bret Allen Snyder, 57, of Orangeville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.
Born in Berwick on November 20, 1959, he was a son of the late Roland D. and Clara (Gause) Snyder. He attended Berwick High School and served in the US Army. After being discharged, Bret was employed at several local businesses. Most recently he worked at the Valmont Industrial Park, West Hazelton.
Bret enjoyed fishing and hunting. He followed football and was a Miami Dolphins fan, as well as a Brad Keselowksi, NASCAR fan. He loved his family, especially his grandsons, and treasured the time he spent with them.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Debra J. (Betz) Snyder, with whom he spent the past 22 years; adored daughters, Trisha Whitesell and husband James, Orangeville; Shelby Snyder, Orangeville; and cherished grandsons, Aiden and Bryce. He also leaves behind sisters: Linda Bankes and Michelle Holter; brothers: Mark Snyder and Bart Snyder; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Brian Snyder and Rick Snyder.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends during the viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
