Judy A. Hartranft, 66, of Black Creek Township passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore, with her family at her side.
Born in Heidelberg, Germany on May 8, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Margaret J. (Hons) and Carl H. Welsh, Sr. She graduated from Bloomsburg High School and was employed at Bemis Corporation, Hazleton for over 30 years, until her health no longer allowed.
She was a member of Mountain Grove Lutheran Church, and the Beaver Twp. Fire Co Ladies’ Auxiliary. She enjoyed puzzle books, crocheting, and BINGO. She was a wonderful cook and liked to feed people; anyone who visited her home knew they wouldn’t leave hungry. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Richard L. Hartranft; children: Randall Welsh and wife Melinda, Smithfield, VA; Tracy Hartranft, Bloomsburg; Benjamin Hartranft and wife Dee Dee, Bloomsburg; Beth Hartranft, Bloomsburg; 5 grandchildren, Colton and Caitlin Welsh, Brittany, Rhiannon and Elijah Peltz; brother, Royce Welsh, Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts.
At Judy’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral services. A private celebration of life will be held this summer.
