Fern M. Slusser, 92, of Berwick, passed away on Thursday July 6, 2017 at home with her family by her side.
She was born on June 18, 1925, in home where she passed away. Fern was 1 of three daughters born to Mae and William Reagan. She attended Berwick Area High School. Fern worked in the local canning factories until they closed and later at M&M dress factory until she retired. She attended Berwick Christian Church until her health started to decline.
Fern had a passion for the Berwick Bulldogs. She also loved to play cards with her family and attended bingo night whenever she could.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Barbara Ruckle, Berwick; sons, James “Jim” Slusser, Maryland; Gary Slusser and wife Faith, Nescopeck; Clifford Slusser, Berwick; 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Harry Slusser and David Slusser; grandsons, Keith “Jimmy” Davis and Shawn Davis; sisters, Winifred Williams and Ruth Stout.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
