Coryne B. Heller, 95, of Wapwallopen, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Berwick Retirement Village II.
Born in Berwick on December 30, 1921 she was a daughter of the late George and Lois (Davis) Blank. She attended Berwick High School. After graduation, Coryne worked as a Bell Telephone operator, a position she was proud of. After her children were born, she became a full-time homemaker and mother. She later worked at Freidberg’s Smart Shop in Berwick.
Coryne was a former member of the Berwick Women’s Civic Club. She enjoyed golfing and was also a former member at the Berwick Golf Club. She enjoyed completing word puzzles and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edsel R. Heller in 2002.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Marilee Ungemach and husband David, Berwick; Debra Sutton and husband Kenneth, Middletown, DE; 2 grandsons, Dr. Scott Ungemach and wife Tracey; James Cerase III and wife Kristen; great grandson, Ethan Ungemach; sister, Joan Croop, NJ; brother, Jack Blank, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. At Coryne’s request the memorial service will be private. Interment will be in Old River Road Cemetery, Wapwallopen, next to her husband.
