Luther A. Beaver, Jr.

Luther A. Beaver, Jr., 68, of Bloomsburg passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his home.

Born on October 20, 1949 in Richfield, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Luther A. Sr., and Janet R. (Dietz) Beaver. He graduated from Middleburg High School. He worked at PP&L where he was a Journeyman lineman and retired as a lineman leader/ instructor trainer after 45 years.

Luther was a member of the Masonic F. & A.M. Lodge #22 Sunbury, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Sunbury Forest #65, Kilowatt Craftsmen’s Club, and IBEW 1600 where he was a union steward for many years.

Luther had a passion for hunting and the outdoors. He enjoyed walking his dog and tending to his pets. He liked to watch sports no matter what it was or what team was playing. He was a devoted family man, loving husband and father. He cherished the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Dawn K. (Kauffman) Beaver; children: Todd Beaver and wife Amy, Orangeville; Kristen Pineda, Maryland; grandchildren: Ethan and Zachary Beaver; Isabella, Gabriel, and Elijah Pineda; sisters: Sandra Cottrell and husband Dr. David, Shamokin Dam; Susan Snyder and husband Ed, Richfield; and many nieces and nephews, as well as his dog, “Jack”; rescue cat, “Red”.

At his request, there will be no public services.
