Diosa “Josie” Francis, 67, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Bo Nazareth Buruanga Aklan, Philippines on February 5, 1955, she was a daughter of Teodola Fernando Prado and the late Loreto Prado. She was raised and educated in Buruanga.
She fell in love and married Timothy E. Francis, Sr in 1985. She was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her time to taking care of her family.
She faithfully attended NC Church, Berwick. Josie also loved to travel. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. She was an excellent cook, using the food she caught or grew in her many delicious, mouthwatering foods.
In addition to her mother, Teodola, she will be greatly missed her loving husband of nearly 37 years, Tim; beloved children, Evangeline Henrie and husband Joshua, Benton; Timothy E. Francis Jr and wife Shawna, Berwick; Jacob E. Francis, Berwick; stepchildren, Benjamin E. Francis Sr, Florida; Matthew S. Francis and wife Melissa, Kentucky; Danielle L. Francis and boyfriend Jason, South Carolina; cherished grandchildren Kaleb, Elijah, Ezra, Uriah, Randy, Ben Jr, Bailey, Chandler, Abigail, Caleb, Levi, Timothy III, and Hayden and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, Bensie Prado and Vencinte Prado, Buruanga; sisters, Pricilla Agpasa, Manila; Neslie Prado and Rosario Melba Prado, both of Buruanga and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Josie’s request, there will be no funeral. Services will be private at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are entrusted to Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck.
