Margaret A. (Kraynak) Samsel, age 92, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Celebration Villa of Berwick.
Born in Plymouth on April 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Viozarik) Kraynak. Margaret was a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1948. She worked at Wise Foods as a switchboard operator and receptionist for 38 years, retiring in 1992.
Margaret was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. Mary’s, Berwick. She enjoyed traveling, for many years she and her husband spent a few months at Longboat Key, FL in the winter. She also enjoyed traveling with Kay Parker Tours across the United States and local areas. Margaret also liked playing pinochle and mah-jongg.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sally Knelly, Stillwater; brother-in-law, Jack Samsel, Berwick; brother-in-law, Joe Pataki, Warrington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert O. Samsel on September 3, 2020; sisters, Bernadine Urban, Rita Mann, and Audrey Slavinski.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
