Clifford A. Palm

Msgt Clifford Allen Palm. USAF (Ret), died Monday, 11 July 2022 at his home in McClure, Pa.

Born April 29th, 1944, he was the son of Clifford Reed Palm and Mabel Virginia (Henry) Palm, both deceased. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Cristina (Aquino) Palm in April 1998; sons, Chad Steven Palm in January 2016; and Nathan Allen Palm in April 2022; a brother, Steven Reed Palm in January 2009; and sister, Amy Virginia Cochran of Louisville Ky. 

Cliff is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Salis of Hawaii; Lt Col. Grace Nieves, USAF (Ret) of Niceville Fl; Sons, Cliff III of Millville; Todd of Denver Co; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Cliff also had a Step Granddaughter Stacy, which he loved dearly. 

Cliff was proud to be a 1962 Graduate of Chief Logan HS. He then attended Thompson Inst of Tech before enlisting in the Air Force on 24 Sep 1963. Upon finishing basic training and Tech School, he was assigned to Clark AB, PI where he met and married Cristina on April 17, 1965. After 2 ½ yr in the PI, he was assigned to Tan Son Nhut AB Vietnam for a year, then back to Clark AB for 2 ½ more yrs. In 1969, Cliff was assigned to the OSI in Wash DC for 2 years, back to Clark AB for 7 years, then Hawaii for 4 years, and finally assigned to New Cumberland Army Depot (where it all began). He retired October 1, 1984.  

Cliff was awarded the meritorious Service Medal, The Dept of Defense Commendation Medal, 4 AF Commendations Medals, and 27 other awards and decorations. 

Cliff enjoyed hunting, deep sea fishing and fishing the Colorado High country. He also played golf. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, and the Yeager town Fire Company, and a past member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge. 

There will be no viewing. His cremated remains will be interred in Fort Logan National Cemetery next to with his wife, near the graves of his WW II Vet father and his mother.
