Richard R. Kishbaugh, 85, of Berwick passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Glen Brook Rehab and Health Care where he was residing since 2011.
Born in Berwick on December 6, 1936, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Ola A. (Kester) Kishbaugh. He was a graduate of Berwick High School and served in the US Coast Guard. After an honorable discharge, Dick was employed at Vaughn’s Bakery. He later worked at Retreat State Hospital until it closed and retired from Danville State Hospital.
He enjoyed listening to the Drum and Bugle Corps, reading the daily paper, and watching movies. Although he didn’t have any children of his own, he was well known and loved by kids in his neighborhood who liked to visit with him and enjoy a popsicle.
He will be greatly missed by his sister, Mary Ellen Moorhead and husband Curt, Mifflinville; brother, Roger E. Kishbaugh and wife Kathy, Berwick, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Interment will follow at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
