Thomas M. Wesolowski Sr, age 58, of Berwick passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at his home.
Born in Johnson City, NY on November 13, 1964, he was a son of the late Stanley E. and Loretta C. (Gregory) Wesolowski Jr. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1982 and enlisted in the US Marines, where he served honorably until 1986. Then after, he entered the Army National Guard, serving until 1995. After his discharge he worked at Domino’s Pizza followed by a furniture shop in Allentown. After moving back to Shickshinny, he worked at Mount Airy Lodge and in 1990 became a correctional officer at SCI, Dallas, where he was employed for 28 years before retiring. Many of his co-workers knew him as “Commander” or “Viper”. After retirement, he worked as a guard for R & P Security.
In 1988, he married his loving wife, Susan C (Ney) Wesolowski, and together they raised 3 children. He was a dedicated husband who worked hard to set a good example for his children. He was a cub scout leader when his sons were younger and a softball coach for his daughter. He attended Calvary United Methodist Church, Berwick with his wife. Tom very much enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
He volunteered to help with the Auxiliary Police. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching M.A.S.H., and military movies. He also loved attending WWE shows with his sons, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre.
Not only will he be greatly missed by his wife, but also immensely by his daughter, Theresa Wesolowski, Berwick; sons, Stanley Wesolowski, Berwick; Thomas Wesolowski Jr, Berwick; granddaughter, Emma Diltz; brothers, Jack Wesolowski and wife Gay, Hunlock Creek; Edward Wesolowski, Shickshinny; sister, Ann Marie Minnick and husband Gene, Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Prior to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Wesolowski.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, for a viewing starting at 11:00 AM, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
