Dorothy M. Faux

Dorothy M. Faux, age 93, of Hollenback Township, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at her home.

Born in Berwick on August 3, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Clara G. (Eddinger) Schell. She attended school in the Berwick area and worked at Dockey’s Shirt Factory, Berwick. She also worked on the family farm with her husband.  

Dorothy was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Hobbie. She enjoyed gardening, going shopping, and decorating for the holidays.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Terry Faux and companion Diane Myers, Hobbie; Ruth Yoder and husband Randy, Nescopeck Twp; Arlene Good and husband Paul, Hobbie; Charlotte Farver and husband Charlie, Stillwater; Connie Faux, Hobbie; David Faux-Smith and wife Peggy; Shelly Faux, Hobbie; grandchildren, Martin Yoder and wife Jessica; Julie Ridall and husband Mike; Eugene Good and wife Kristie; Shawn Good; Eric Farver; Emily Swank and wife Heather; Matthew Farver; Michelle Faux; Michael Faux and fiancée Jenna Fern;  step-grandchildren, Melinda Myers and fiancée Richard Glosser; Janelle Myers and fiancée Harry Nauss; Mike Pears and fiancée Deanna Dixon; Mindy Carrington and husband “KP”; Ronnie Miller and wife Vivian; great grandchildren, Luke Ridall; Liam Ridall; Alisyn Good; Jacob Good; Justin Good on the way; Levi Yoder; Clara Yoder; step great-grandchildren, Cheyenne; Jesse; Auron; Luke; Emma; Riely; Ava; Conner; Emma; Vin; Zae; Carissa; and Colin.  She also leaves behind a sister, Lois Schell, Berwick; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and close friends, Tammy Boone; and Anthony Augustine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 52 years, Elwood M. Faux, on August 11, 2005; brothers, Norman and Fred Schell; and sister-in-law, Peg Schell.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck.

A funeral service will be held and on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Heller Funeral Home LLC, with Reverend Oliver Brown officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Hobbie.
