Louis “Rocky” E. Del Vecchio, age 63 of Bloomsburg passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at home.
Born in Beaufort, SC on May 24, 1960, he was a son of the late Louis F. and Patricia (Houser) Del Vecchio. He graduated from Bensalem High School. He worked at John’s Mansville, Hazleton until an early retirement last year.
Rocky was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and when they weren’t playing, he would root for the Eagles. He also followed NASCAR, his favorite driver was Ryan Newman. Rocky drove 10 laps at Talladega for his 50th birthday.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 20 years, Brenda K. (Smith) Del Vecchio; stepdaughter, Stacey Fausnaught and husband Fred Jr., Berwick; stepson, Michael Ridall Sr. and wife Lana, Harrisburg; nephew, Matthew Smith Sr and wife Shalea, Mt. Carmel; daughters, Nicole Del Vecchio, NJ; Lisa Del Vecchio, NJ; Katie Crecca and husband Joe, NJ; son, Louis Joseph Del Vecchio, NJ; grandchildren, Fred Fausnuaght lll; Nathan Fritz; Theresa Fausnaught; Michael Ridall Jr; Makayla Ridall; Karly Ridall; Jessica Ridall; Hannah, Liam, and Joan Christman; Francine English; Laela Cummings; Emma Christman; Alayna and Sophia Crecca. He also leaves behind sister, Annamarie Fyke; nephew Keith Fyke and wife Laura; brother-in-law, Mitchell Smith; best friend, Robert Kipple; mother-in-law, Beverly Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Theresa Ridall; and nephew, Ed Fyke.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of service.
