Randolph “Randy” J. Davis III, age 11, of Berwick passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Fairmount Township, following an accident.
Born in Berwick on September 5, 2011, he was the son of Randolph J. Davis II, Berwick, and Brandi L. (Harry) Davis, Savanna GA. He was a student at Berwick Middle School and would be entering 6th grade this fall. He was passionate about the SOAR program and played trombone for the 5/6th grade band.
Randy played little league baseball and just recently started Karate, which he really enjoyed. He liked hunting, trapping, and fishing. He was a light in everyone’s life and touched many people with his kindness, smile, and helpfulness. He enjoyed playing in the backyard with his best friends, Carson and Stuie.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his brother, Liam; sisters, Victoria, Vanessa, Gloria, Savanna, and Lillian; paternal grandmother, Evelyn J. Holmes and her partner Jason Switzer, Berwick; maternal grandparents, Valerie Mattern and David Harry; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly, as well as his loyal furry companion “Paris”. He also leaves behind extended family members; family friend, John Galutia; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother, Doris Davis, “GG” and his grandfather, Eugene Holmes,”Poppa Joe” who were both a big part of his life.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
A Celebration of Life will follow at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Schoolhouse Road, Bloomsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the SOAR program at Berwick Middle School.
