Winifred J. Fahringer, age 68, of Berwick passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her home.
Born in Bloomsburg on November 21, 1954, she was the youngest of 6 children born to the late Ralph E and Rachael E (Mowery) Miller. She was raised and educated in Benton. Over the years, Winnie worked at several local businesses including Wise Foods, Berwick and most recently, Berwick Offray.
Winnie was a sweet person who had a bright outlook and was always happy. She greeted everyone with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She enjoyed going to flea markets and shopping. She liked bears and had a huge collection of them. Most of all she liked spending time around her family, especially her adored grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Dawn Miller and husband Sam, Berwick; son, Rodney Rubenstein and companion Stephanie Cameron, Berwick; grandchildren: Adam, Dakota, Alene, Kirsten, Dylan, Briana, Dakota, Landon, Teagan, Courtney, and Jordan; and many great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Blanche Ashenfelder and husband Bruce, Berwick; brothers, Paul Miller and wife Wilma, Orangeville; Claude Miller and wife Jan, FL; Chuck Miller and wife Barb, FL; a sister-in-law, Edna Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Hunsinger; brother, Clarence Miller; and her companion John Krasniak.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck, followed by a service and time of sharing.
