Jacob J. Hoagland, age 21, of Berwick, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2023, in Hemlock Twp.
Born in Berwick on March 9, 2002, he was the son of Amy Jo Milheim and companion Michael Mowery, Corey J. Hoagland and his companion Rebecca Shimko. He graduated from Berwick Highschool in 2021. After graduation he worked at several local businesses trying to find the best fit for him and he finally found it at Fought Disposal, where he worked for the past 3 months.
He was very active outdoors, in his free time he really enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding quads, and hanging out with friends. He was always on the move doing something when he wasn’t working.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his sister, Selena Hoagland; brother, Michael Mowery Jr; sister, Alexis Shimko; niece, Ava Rose Perry; many aunts and uncles including, Nikki Beadle; Megan Milheim and companion Gene Prebola; Michael Farver and wife Sharron; Mark Farver and wife Karen; Joe Farver and wife Jennifer; Michele Bagot and husband Robin; their families and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Cindy Milheim and companion Kenny; Dave Milheim and wife Shelly; Rose Beadle and many extended family members which are too many to mention.
He was preceded in death by Keith Beadle; Cindy’s companion, Wade Sassman; and Barbara Farver, who helped raise him.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday October 9, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
