Michael E. Bedio Jr, age 81, of Salem Township, passed away on October 2, 2023, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Shickshinny on September 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Erma (Allen) and Michael Bedio Sr. He graduated from Northwest Area High School in 1959 and continued his education at Wilkes-Barre Business College. In his younger years Michael worked at Strict and LaBar Trucking Company. Later, He was employed at Durabond. He retired from Leggett & Platt, where he worked his way up from mechanic to supervisor.
Michael was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Shickshinny. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and hunting. He mostly loved spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Marie Ann (Evans) Bedio; daughter, Ann Knouse, Berwick; son, Michael A. Bedio and wife Cathy, Shickshinny; grandchildren, Thomas Knouse; Kendra Bedio; Kayla Miller and husband Robert; Michael A. Bedio Jr and fiancé Kayla Buczek; great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Lily, and Arabella. He also leaves behind sisters, Carol Morgan and husband Henry, Lightstreet; Lori Snyder, Shamokin; brother, Gary Bedio and wife Karen Bedio, Berwick; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Alan Michael Knouse; and sister, Karen Bedio.
At the request of the family there will be no public services.
