Patricia A. Shires, age 90, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Sunset Ridge Healthcare and Rehab, Bloomsburg.
Born in Berwick on March 14, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Clayton J. and Mildred H. (Benshoff) Wark. She graduated from Berwick High School. For many years worked as a Notary Public for an attorney in Bloomsburg and, after retirement, she worked at McDonalds in Berwick.
She enjoyed baking and working around her house. She loved chatting with the customers who came into McDonalds while she worked there. She was a Philadelphia Phillies fan and liked watching the games.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Zane Shires who died in 1988; daughter, Michele Duffee; sisters, Dawn Evina and Charlotte Heckman; and brother, Harry Wark.
She will be greatly missed by her son, TImothy C. Shires and wife Jennifer, Berwick; granddaughter, Lauren Shires, Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family there will be no public service.
