Joan Fasnacht, age 87, of Bloomsburg passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2023, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.
Born in Nanticoke on April 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Alice (Cain) Fedder. She worked as a cook in many different restaurants around the area, including The Elks, and Blue Bird Diner. She also helped at the family fair stand, Fedders Ham & Turkey for over 50 yrs.
She enjoyed cooking, baking and over the years crocheted many afghans. She also loved caring for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Galen Fasnacht Sr; son, Gerald Carroll; granddaughter, Tiffany Potter; sister, Edith Strickler; and brother Paul Fedder
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Debra Potter and Companion Mike, Berwick; Susan Fasnacht, Berwick; Laurie Fasnacht, Bloomsburg; son, Galen Fasnacht Jr and wife Andrea, Bloomsburg; grandchildren, Zachary, Whitney, Jason, Shawn, Steven, Jimmy, Kris and Trisha; and 12 great grandchildren.
Private burial will take place next to her husband in Rosemont Cemetery.
