Mary Ann Jaffee, age 76, of Nanticoke passed away on Wednesday November 1, 2023, at Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.
Born in Nanticoke on February 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marcella (Trotski) Benick Jr. She graduated from Newport Twp high school, from there she furthered her education at Bloomsburg State College, after earning her teaching degree, she started her teaching career at Glen Lyon Pulaski school, and then later taught at Nanticoke middle school until retiring early in 1991.
She will be greatly missed by her brother Walter Benick and wife Mary Ann, Glen Lyon; sister, Marcella Raiewski, Glen Lyon; nephews, Jonathan Benick and son Tyler; Daniel Benick and wife Kara and their children Payton, and Barrett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Edward Raiewski.
Private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
