Michael E. Swank, age 77, of Nescopeck passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on October 4, 1946, he was the son of the late Minet and Vera (Keener) Swank. He graduated in 1964 from Berwick high school. Michael served in the Army National Guard, during his time as a reservist, he was employed at Union Local 5 as a brick mason until retiring in 2008. Michael went on to open Swanks Gun Repair Shop in Nescopeck up until about a year ago.
When Michael wasn’t running his shop, he loved spending time with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed target shooting at the Nescopeck Rifle Range where he was a lifelong member.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 42 years, Cindy L. (Breisch) Swank and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Lee R. Kile and sister Donzella Crispell.
At Michaels request there will be no public services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is entrusted with arrangements.
