Michael J. Basala, age 72, of Mifflinville passed away at his home on Friday December 1, 2023.
Born in Berwick on January 18, 1951, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Yurchak) Basala. He graduated from Berwick High School in 1968. After high school, he started his career in welding, working at the AC&F in Berwick and later Milton. Michael then moved on to work at KFAB until retiring.
In Michaels free time, he liked to be outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved his wiener dogs he’s had over the years.
He will be greatly missed by his long-time companion of 40 years, Sheila Reynolds; stepdaughter, Sandy Reynolds; sister, Sandra Buck and husband James, Berwick; and niece, Michelle Buck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Basala; stepson, James Reynolds; and nephews, Michael, and James Buck.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday December 7, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, followed by a memorial service.
