Joseph Perkoski, age 86, of Berwick passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing, Berwick surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Huntington Mills on January 23, 1937, he was the last living of 6 sons of the late John and Sella (Verbinski) Perkoski. He was a graduate of Huntington Mills High School and for most of his life he worked at Dana Corporation, Berwick.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Berwick. He enjoyed playing BINGO and reading the paper daily. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping whenever he was able.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Joseph R. Perkoski and wife Lynne, Berwick; daughters, Christine Bardo and fiancé David Houde; Jennifer Zeisloft and husband Steve, Conyngham; grandchildren, Justin and Alysha; great grandchildren, Michael, Layton, Roman and Alivia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jordan in 2000, and brothers, John, Albert, Ralph, Donald and Henry Perkoski.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC with his pastor, Reverend Chad Hebrink officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
