Evelyn E. Schultz, age 82, passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2023, at Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater.
Born in Berwick on February 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Catherine (Bronzburg) Bankes. She graduated from Nescopeck High School in 1959. In her teens, she was employed at Rea & Derrick Drug Store, and later the knitting mill. She stopped working to raise her children and when they were older she became self employed as a housekeeper.
In her free time, she loved crocheting, cross stitch and plastic canvas. She was a very talented crafter made many items which she sold to others. She made afghans and other household items which she gifted to her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She will be greatly missed by her loving daughters, Rhonda Kishbaugh and husband Joe, Berwick; Elaine Bullock and husband David, Berwick; cherished grandchildren, Mindy, Tiffany, Amanda, Nathan, and Benjamin; 10 adored great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Shires, Bloomsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Robert Schultz Jr; granddaughter, Erin; brother, Edward; and sister, Cecilia Cerasaro.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC with Brenda Yaple officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday December 19, 2023 from 10:30 AM til service.
