Robert E. Rinehimer, age 86, of Mountaintop, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Hollenback Township, on September 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Doyle and Ethel (Moyer) Rinehimer. He attended Greenwood School. For 28 years, he worked for Asplundh, retiring as a general forman.
Robert was a member at St Peters United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed working on his old tractor, hunting and fishing.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, Robert E. Rinehimer Jr, Hobbie; Dennis Rinehimer and wife Deena, Bloomsburg; daughters, Brenda Martuscelli and husband Jim, Hobbie; and Barbara Rinehimer, Kingston; grandchildren, Pamela, Jessica and Desiree; great grandson, Patrick; and brother, Harold Rinehimer and wife Marion, Hobbie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Wilma J. (Chapin) Rinehimer on March 3, 1998; and brothers, Lonny Rinehimer and Jim Rinehimer.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on December 29, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck with Reverend Jane Hess officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Maple Cemetery, Hobbie. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
