Lena S. Fulkersin went into the loving arms of the Lord on December 26, 2023, at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She was born in Danville on June 15, 2023, to Chad A. and Stacey R. (Smith) Fulkersin of Berwick.
Lena was born prematurely and fought against all odds to stay with her family who loved and doted on her everyday. Her sassy personality let everyone know what she wanted to express, and her bright smile could light up a room. Her 6 months of life made a huge impact on everyone who met her or followed her story.
In addition to her parents, she will be eternally loved and missed by her sisters, Kyoko Fulkersin; Clorina Fulkersin; Tora Fulkersin; grandparents, Frank Fulkersin; Scott and Brenda (McMurtrie) Smith; great grandparents, Shirley Showers; Ruth McMurtrie and David McMurtrie. She also leaves behind aunts and uncles, Bethanne Turse and husband Nicholas; Cody Smith; Andy Fulkersin and Trisha Leiby; Timmy Fulkersin; Stacy Progansky; and Brian Progansky; great aunt and uncle, Robert and Teresa Steele; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Clorine (Showers) Fulkersin.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Briar Creek Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends during the Celebration of Life at LCBC Church, 2421 Columbia Blvd, Bloomsburg starting at 12:00 PM.
