Linda A. Eroh

Linda A. (Slusser) Eroh, age 80, went home with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024, in Smith Health Care Ltd, Mountaintop.

Born in Berwick on February 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Edna C. (Rothermel) Slusser. She was a graduate of Nescopeck High School, class of 1961. She continued her education at Bloomsburg State College where she earned a degree in accounting and later a bachelor’s degree in education. Mrs. Eroh taught in the Berwick Area School District for 25 years. She later taught music at Holy Family in Berwick. After retirement, she worked with her daughter at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck.

Linda had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St James Lutheran Church, Wapwallopen. She was on church council where she held various offices, was choir director, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and assisted with many other committees. She was involved with Mission District and Synod. She was a member of Columbia Montour and National PSAR. She loved to travel and took many trips with other members of the retired teachers association and was fortunate visit many places in the US as well as other countries. She was a volunteer for Hobbie Ambulance and Fire Company where she was an EMT and helped with the carnival. She was a lifetime member of the National VFW Auxiliary. Linda was a member of the Nescopeck Reunion committee. She loved playing the piano and teaching others how to play. She was a talented seamstress and knitted and crocheted as well. She supported countless activities with her children and grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother and an incredible example for her family. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Nancy Brown and husband Morgan, Slocum; Karen Gallamo and husband Nick, Dorrance; Daren Eroh and wife Sue, Brimfield, MA; grandchildren, Morgan C Brown and wife Kate; Rebecca Brown and fiancé Roger Jayne; Sarah Brown; Jennifer Brown; Brittany Ciuferri and husband Joe; Joshua Ridall; Christian Ridall; Amsey Eroh; Ethan Eroh; step grandchildren, Joseph and Nicole Gallamo; great grandchildren, Faye, Giovanni, Aurelio, and Graysen; step great grandchildren, Briella, Brynlee and Luca. She also leaves behind sisters-in-law, Barbara Slusser; Kaye Kline and husband Ed; Jean Jenkins and husband Leonard; Ann Gusher and husband Ray; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins and an aunt, Verna Dotterer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Eroh in 1990; brothers, Edward Slusser and Durwood Slusser; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Titus Royal.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St James Lutheran Church, Hobbie with her pastor, Rev. Oliver Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck; and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 827 East County Road, Wapwallopen, PA 18660, which was dear to her heart.
