Bonnie M. Malloy, age 71, of Bloomsburg passed away on August 18, 2024, at her home.
Born in Abington on March 31, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Clifford T. Burgess Jr and June B. (Fleener) Burgess. She was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1971. She furthered her education at Montgomery County Community College and Bloomsburg University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in arts. In her younger years, she was a Dental Assistant in Philadelphia. Later she worked at several different local nursing and senior living facilities in the area as an activity’s director. For the last 20 years, she was the Office Manager for their family business, B&B Investors.
Bonnie was a member of the Open Door Christian Fellowship, Bloomsburg, where she was a deacon. She was a talented artist and sculptor, she won 1st place for a sculpture she created at the Montgomery County Community College. She also loved sketching and painting. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Jim Malloy Jr and wife Jennifer, Landsdale; Steven Malloy, Landsdale; John Malloy and wife Betsy, Columbus, Ohio; and Robert Malloy and companion Nikki, Denver Colorado; grandchildren, Mallory and Molly Malloy; brothers, John Burgess, Bloomsburg; Robert Burgess, Bloomsburg; nieces, Hannah G. Martin, Leah F. Martin, Emma H. Martin; several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Burgess III; and her aunt, Patsy McNamara.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 NOON on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck with Pastor Pete Albrect officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
