Geraldine “Jeri” Ann Wozniak, beloved mother, grandmother/nanny, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on September 24, 2024, at Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danville.
Born on August 6, 1930, to the late Mildred Emilia (Barbotti) and John Sabatino, Geraldine lived a life full of love, devotion, and service to her community and family. She was the cherished wife of the late Theodore L. Wozniak. Together, they owned and operated Ted’s Café for over 65 years. The café was not just a business but a gathering place where friends and neighbors came together, and Geraldine’s warm hospitality made everyone feel welcome.
Education was deeply valued in Geraldine’s family, which is reflected in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Nicholas Wozniak and his wife Lily; Thomas Wozniak and his wife Anne; Sondra Turnbach and her husband Tim; Christopher Wozniak and his wife Stacey; Amy Gavigan and her husband William; Jeri Wozniak-Mitchem and her husband Steve. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren: Samuel Wozniak, Abram Wozniak and wife Rachel, and Mariah Wozniak; Heather Turnbach and husband Dan Farnbach and Sean Turnbach; Mara Wozniak and Nathan Wozniak; Erin Mindick, Ryan Mindick, Chloe Gavigan, Bradley Gavigan and Jacob Gavigan; Kristin (Musselman) Isenberg and husband Jason and Danielle Musselman; Chad Wozniak and wife Cheryl; and Sarah Wozniak-Witzel and husband Wayne; great grandchildren, Wesley Wozniak, Jayden and Ander Musselman; Laurel Wozniak, Kyra Wozniak and Annya Witzel.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geraldine is preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Musselman and husband Todd; brother, John Sabatino; sister, Mary Jane (Sabatino) Hunter; and stepson Theodore Wozniak, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday September 28, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 E. Third Street, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
