Born in Berwick on February 18, 1933, he was the son of the late Arthur A. and Ethel M. (Paden) Lynn. Ernie and his 8 siblings were raised and worked on his family’s farm in Nescopeck Township. He graduated from Nescopeck High School, class of 1951. He enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge, Ernie worked for Wise Potato Chips for over 30 years. After retirement, he worked for Siegel Distributing selling BG Products, where he was in the top 20 national salesmen in the US.
Ernie attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Nescopeck, where he served on various committees. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and a lifetime social member of the Nescopeck Fire Company. He was also on the board of Boy Scouts of America and the Berwick Cemetery Association.
Ernie enjoyed tinkering with his cars, especially Dodge/Chryslers. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He loved woodworking and making chimes.
