Maude Yeager

Maude H. (Adams) Yeager, age 102, of Nescopeck, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, February 28, 2025, at the Gardens of Orangeville.

Born in Berwick on July 18, 1922, she was the last living child born to the late John K. and Ella D. (Sitler) Adams. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1940. During WWII she was part of the ordering department at the foundry. Later, she was a seamstress for Berwick Knitwear and simultaneously co-owned a dairy farm with her husband Eugene.

She was a member at St. James Lutheran Church, Zenith where she was involved with the LCW. Maude played piano in her younger years; she would play at different events with her cousin. She was very artistic and enjoyed doing different crafts and puzzles.

 In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Eugene G. Yeager, who passed July 8, 1985; brothers, Ray Adams, Paul Adams, and Harry Adams; sisters, Flow Bower, Mary Keck and Bessie Adams.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Carol Mowery and husband Darrell, Hetlerville; grandson, Justin Mowery and wife Kasey, Hetlerville; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday March 6, 2025, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, immediately followed by a funeral service with Reverend Oliver Brown. Interment will be held at Mifflinville Cemetery.
