Julie C. (Deeley) Martin, age 55, of Forty-Fort passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Philadelphia on December 29, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Julia Ann (Goodwin) Deeley and Frederick W. Deeley. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1987. She continued her education at Luzerne County Community College and in 2010 completed the LPN program at Wilkes-Barre Area CTC, where she finished 1st in her class. Julie worked at Geisinger, Berwick Retirement Village, Manor Care and Riverview. She truly loved being a nurse and taking care of people.
She liked gardening, crafting, crocheting, making gifts for others, and hosting all the family dinners and gatherings. She enjoyed vacationing at Wildwood and taking trips to Atlantic City. Watching RuPaul’s Drag Race always put a smile on her face. She often attended baseball and hockey games.
She will be greatly missed by her companion of 15 years, Anthony Monaco; children, Kiely Martin and fiancé Elliott Burlett, Ashland; Brandon Martin, Forty-Fort; Elizabeth Martin, Hunlock Creek; Frederick Martin, Forty-Fort, and their father, Kenneth A. Martin, Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Dominick and Finn Burlett. She also leaves behind brothers, Fred Deeley and companion Nikki Harnett, Toms River, NJ; Katie Thoryk and husband Timothy, Berwick; Clayton Kelley, Philadelphia; Pauline Hopper, Scranton; Charlie Deeley, Scranton; Tracey Deeley and companion Jon Tischbein, Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pat Deeley.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC 633 E Third St, Nescopeck.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later time.
