Samantha A. Boucek, age 53, of Berwick passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after losing a valiant battle with cancer.
Born in Bloomsburg on November 14, 1972, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Claudia K. (Masker) White. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1990. She continued her education at Clarion University where she double majored in Political Science and Mass Communications, graduating in 1995. For the past 14 years, she worked at Bloomsburg University, in the fundraising department. Her current position was the director of Corporate Sponsorship and Leadership Giving.
Samantha was a member of Immaculate Conception, St Mary’s Church, Berwick, where she helped with the annual fish fry and was active every year with Vacation Bible School. She also served on the board of the United Way. She was an avid reader and liked working on jig saw and Sudoku puzzles. She was a very social person who loved meeting and talking with people.
In addition to her parents, “Bob” and “Tooty”, she will be greatly missed by her daughter, Kaitlyn Boucek, Berwick; brother, Michael H. White, Berwick; niece, Jessie White; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at St Mary’s Church, Fowler Ave, Berwick a Mass of Christian burial will follow with Reverend William Barbee officiating.
Interment in Elan Memorial Park will be private at the convenience of the family.
