Richard L. Hunsinger, Jr, age 61, of Berwick passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at his home.
Born in Danville on September 5, 1964, he was a son of the late Richard L Sr and Jean B. (Naus) Hunsinger. He was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1983. He was currently employed at Wise Snack Foods, where he has worked for over 20 years.
Richard liked going to estate sales and collecting antique glass. He enjoyed working around his home, tending his gardens and landscape beds. He loved to travel, being outdoors hiking or hunting. He was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help others.
He leaves behind brothers, Brett Hunsinger, Berwick; Gene Hunsinger, Sr and wife Tammy, Berwick; sister-in-law, Sharon Hunsinger, Berwick; stepsister, Tarah Bafunno, Bloomsburg; nieces and a nephew, Gene Jr, Bridget, Robert, Michelle, Nicole, Brittney and Skye.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Mick Hunsinger.
Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck, immediately followed by a memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a local charity of the donor’s choice.
