Linda D. (Knorr) Mowery, age 80, of Mifflin Twp, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Born in Berwick on January 16, 1945, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Miriam A. (Breisch) Knorr. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1962. While in high school, she worked at Walker’s Jewelers. Later, she was employed at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and retired from PPL/Talen Susquehanna Steam Electric Plant after 33 years.
Linda was a member of Hetlerville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She liked watching professional sports and rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
She will be greatly missed by her children: daughter, Lori D. Savoy and husband Nuncio II, Berwick; son, Roger C. Mowery, Jr and wife Tara, Hetlerville; twin sons, Brock W. Mowery, Lancaster; and Britt W. Mowery and companion, Kellie Berlin, Leesburg, VA; grandchildren, Nuncio III and wife Kristen, Lily, and Eden Savoy; Wade Mowery; Hailey and Max Mowery, Miranda and Brady Berlin. She was looking forward to the birth of a great grandchild in July. She also leaves behind sisters, Connie Richenderfer, Bloomsburg; Janice Collins, Berwick; Nancy Kelchner and husband Ralph, Bloomsburg; brothers, David Knorr and wife Joyce, Berwick; James Knorr, Nescopeck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her daughter, Lisa A Mowery; sister, Doris Peterman; brothers, Kenneth, Robert, Paul, Richard and Earl Knorr; and former husband, Roger C. Mowery, Sr.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Briar Creek Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00pm and Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
