David W. Vought, Sr., age 70, of Berwick passed away on Wednesday February 18, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where he was a patient.
Born in Philadelphia on May 26, 1955, he was a son of the late James E. Sr., and Sarah L. (McAfee) Vought. David attended Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech. He worked at several tire shops and various machine shops throughout the years. He was the owner and proprietor of Salem Machine Shop. David attended the Christian Covenant Community, Jonestown.
In his younger years he liked riding motorcycles. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, but his passion was Machining.
David is survived by his wife of 17 years, Bonnie S. Vought; sons, Josh Vought, Berwick, David Vought, Jr., Berwick; step-children, Wade Taylor, Chasity Thomas, Colby Miller, and Christy Brophy; grandchildren, Kiera, Trevor, Ellie, Trinity, Layla, Tehya, Abby, Zander, Isabella, Bently, Evelyn, Emily and Ella; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Jordan, Hazel. He also leaves behind siblings, James E. Vought, Jr. and wife Debbie, VA; Dennis Vought Sr. and wife Cindy, Berwick; Sandy Yachimowski, Berwick; Terry McMurtrie and wife Kelly, FL; Richard Vought, Berwick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Kile.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting the family.
