Carla M. Dendle

Carla M. Dendler, age 75, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Berwick on February 15, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Archie T and Margaret E (Snavely) Dendler. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1969. Carla was employed at Berwick Ribbon Factory for several years and was also a housekeeper. She loved working at the Bloomsburg Fair every year. Her focus and devotion was always to her family. As a single mother of 4, she worked hard to provide a loving environment to raise her children.

She was a wonderful cook and baker. She always put great effort into making Christmas and birthdays special for her children by cooking their favorite meal. She liked painting ceramics, listening to music, and going to concerts. She was a good dancer and knew many different styles of dance, which she taught her daughters at a young age. She loved playing the lottery, cards, Bingo, and Yahtzee, especially with family.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Tracy M Hoze and partner John Christiansen, Berwick; Matthew T. Hoze, Berwick; Gwen R. Dendler, Berwick; grandchildren, Jacob and Johnny Christiansen; Seth and Emily Zidek; and Kylee Hoze; great grandchildren, Rhett Hoze; Averi and Tate Persing. She also leaves behind sisters, Edie Jones, Baltimore MD; Patty LaFon and husband Doug, Baltimore MD; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher A Hoze.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of her family.
